The Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount HL-X, part number 88066, is a rail-mounted long gun light producing 1000 lumens and 50,000 candela for a beam reaching 447 metres.
Candela is what puts light on something at distance, and 50,000 of it is what separates a lamping light from a torch that merely floods the yard in front of you.
The light measures 5.43 in (13.79 cm) and weighs 6.4 oz on two CR123A cells or 6.9 oz on an SL-B26 rechargeable pack, and it is dual fuel between the two. This 88066 kit ships with two CR123A lithium cells, a remote pressure switch, a push-button tail cap, remote retaining clips, an M-LOK mount and the mounting hardware. Fitted with the push-button it is rated IP67 for one metre and thirty minutes; with the remote switch in place that becomes IP54.
High gives 1.25 hours on CR123A cells or 1.75 hours on an SL-B26 pack; the 60 lumen low, worth 3,100 candela and 111 metres, stretches that to 21 or 24 hours and is the setting you actually walk with. TEN-TAP programming sets the mode order to high and strobe, high only, or low then high, so the light does what your thumb expects rather than cycling through modes you never use. The SL-B26 pack and its charging cord are not part of this kit.
