The Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount 1L-X, part number 89026, is a compact multi-fuel long gun light 4.64 in (11.79 cm) long, supplied with a tail switch, mounting hardware, an M-LOK mount and one CR123A lithium cell.
Read the part number before the headline. 89026 is the tail-switch package with a CR123A in the box, which means 500 lumens as delivered and 850 only once you buy the rechargeable pack.
The body is 6000-series machined aircraft aluminium, black anodised, rated IP67 for one metre and thirty minutes with the tail switch fitted. On an SL-B9 rechargeable pack it produces 850 lumens and 30,000 candela for a 346 m beam over half an hour; on a CR123A lithium cell it gives 500 lumens and 18,000 candela for 268 m over 1.75 hours. Low is 100 lumens and 3,400 candela for 117 m, running 4.5 hours on the pack or 6.5 hours on the cell, and strobe runs 1.25 hours or 2.5 hours respectively. It weighs 5.12 oz with the CR123A and 5.22 oz with the SL-B9.
A short body suits a short handguard, which is where this light earns its place — a full-size head hanging off a carbine forend is dead weight for a beam you rarely need at that intensity. TEN-TAP lets you set the order the modes appear in. This version takes a push-button tail switch only and will not accept a remote pressure pad, so if you want a pad on the handguard you want a different part number. Picatinny mounting is direct, and Streamlight supplies an M-LOK mount in the box for M-LOK handguards.

What the ProTac 1L-X fits
It clamps to MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail on a rifle, carbine or shotgun, and the included M-LOK mount covers M-LOK handguards without an adapter. For the same light supplied with the SL-B9 pack and cord so it runs at full output out of the box, see the ProTac Rail Mount 1L-X USB; for remote pressure-switch capability, the 1L-X USB Pro adds the Jack-Cap. Our M-LOK versus Picatinny guide covers the mounting choice.
