The SureFire XC3, part number XC3-A, is a compact handgun light in black giving 550 lumens and 7,200 candela for a 170 metre beam from a single SF123A lithium cell.
The battery loads from the front. That one decision means the cell can be changed with the light still clamped to the pistol, and nothing about the fit or the zero of anything else on the gun is disturbed.
It runs 1.75 hours on constant, measures 2.6 in (6.6 cm) with a .945 in (2.4 cm) bezel, and weighs 2.65 oz (75 g) with the battery in. The body is aerospace aluminium finished in Mil-Spec hard anodising to MIL-A-8625 Type III Class 2, gasket-sealed and rated IPX7. Ambidextrous tactile push switches sit on both sides for momentary and constant-on, and a disable feature stops it being switched on by accident in a bag.
The rail clamp fits Universal and Picatinny accessory rails on compact railed handguns of the Glock 19 class, and the slim profile means many existing holsters still work. One thing to be clear about despite the -A suffix: this is a clamp rather than a Rail-Lock lever, so fitting is a screw job rather than a snap-on. There is no laser — it is a white light only.
