The SureFire DS-SR07 in black is a complete switching assembly for Scout Light weapon lights, pairing the DS00 pushbutton click-on and click-off tailcap with a plug-in SR07 remote pad.
It is a tailcap and a pressure pad sold as one thing, so the light can be worked from the back of the body or from wherever on the handguard your support hand actually sits.
The SR07 remote gives momentary activation from the pad and click-on, click-off operation, and the DS00 tailcap does the same job at the rear of the light, so neither is disabled by the other. SureFire gives the remote cable as approximately 7 in (17.8 cm), which is enough to lay the pad naturally along most carbine handguards. This is the black version.
It is the switch to fit when the light sits well forward and the tailcap is out of easy reach, and it is equally the sensible replacement when a pad on an existing Scout Light has been damaged or lost. SureFire lists it for most of its Scout Light weapon lights and excludes the Micro Scout Light Pro, so check your model against that before ordering.
