The SIG Sauer JULIET4 in Flat Dark Earth is a fixed 4x flip-to-side magnifier with a 24 mm objective, supplied on SIG's PowerCam quick-release mount.
A magnifier is only as good as the hinge behind it, and PowerCam is the reason this one gets used: a 90-degree throw takes the rifle from 4x to a clean 1x and back without touching the sight in front.
The mount is a quick-release design, so the whole assembly comes off the rail when you want it gone rather than riding along unused. The dioptre adjusts through plus or minus 2 to bring the image into focus for your eye, the housing is aluminium, and SIG gives the length as 4.2 in (107 mm) and the weight as 12.5 oz. It is rated IPX-8, and this one is finished in Flat Dark Earth to sit alongside FDE and two-tone furniture.
It goes behind a red dot to stretch the useful range of the rifle without giving up the speed of the dot at close quarters, and the height suits co-witnessing with an AR-pattern sight line. Two things to be honest about: the JULIET4 has no reticle of its own, so it magnifies whatever your dot already shows including any wobble, and at 12.5 oz it puts real weight on the back of the rail.
