The Radian Ultralight QD End Plate is a receiver end plate with an integrated ambidextrous quick-detach sling socket for AR-15 and M4 rifles, fitting standard carbine and rifle receiver extensions.

A lightweight receiver end plate with a built-in ambidextrous QD sling point — clean, strong, and barely there.

The Radian Ultralight QD End Plate adds a flush, ambidextrous quick-detach sling socket to your receiver extension while trimming weight over bulkier plates. Machined for strength where it matters and cut away where it doesn't, it gives you a solid, rattle-free QD mount that rotates freely for a two-point or single-point sling.

What the Ultralight QD End Plate fits

Fits standard AR-15/M4 carbine and rifle receiver extensions and installs under the castle nut in place of a standard end plate. That means the castle nut has to come off, so a castle-nut wrench is required, and the nut should be re-torqued and staked afterwards. QD sling swivels and the sling itself are supplied separately. A Magpul QDM quick-disconnect swivel fits the socket, and the takedown and pivot pin set is the other Radian lower-receiver part we list.

Will this end plate fit my rifle?

It fits standard AR-15/M4 carbine and rifle receiver extensions and sits under the castle nut in place of your existing end plate. Any lower with a standard threaded rear and a standard receiver extension will take it. If your rifle uses a proprietary buffer tube or a one-piece receiver extension assembly, check before ordering.

What does it give me over a plain end plate?

It adds an ambidextrous quick-detach sling socket at the rear of the receiver, so a QD swivel can go on either side and the swivel rotates freely instead of twisting the sling. The plate is machined to keep weight down while staying solid, so the mount does not rattle in use. It replaces the plain end plate rather than adding another part to the rifle.

How does it compare with a sling point on the stock?

A QD socket on the end plate sits further forward than one on the stock, which suits a single-point or a short two-point sling and keeps the mounting point on the receiver rather than on a stock you might change later. Stocks with built-in QD sockets do the same job a little further back. Other rear sling options are gathered in rifle slings and sling mounts.

Is fitting straightforward?

It is more involved than a drop-in part, because the castle nut has to come off before the old end plate will clear. You will need a castle nut wrench and a way to hold the lower securely, and the nut should be re-torqued and staked or thread-locked afterwards. If you would rather not torque a castle nut yourself, a gunsmith will do it quickly; QD swivels and the sling are supplied separately.
