The Magpul SVG (Short Vertical Grip, MAG1567) is a low-profile hybrid that mounts directly to M-LOK and gives you a positive, repeatable place to drive your support hand. Shorter than a full vertical grip, it doubles as a hand stop — ideal for a modern C-clamp or thumb-over-bore hold on a slim free-float forend, without adding length or snag points.

What the Magpul SVG fits

Mounts directly to any M-LOK-compatible handguard or forend using the supplied M-LOK hardware — no Picatinny rail or adaptor required. Handguards that are Picatinny-only or use a different slot standard will not take it, so check your forend before ordering. Set it where your support hand indexes and torque the hardware. For a full-length hold on the same interface see the MVG vertical grip, or the M-LOK AFG for a thumb-forward angled position; the RVG does the vertical job on a Picatinny rail instead.

Will the SVG fit my handguard?

It mounts directly to any M-LOK-compatible handguard or forend, so check your forend is genuinely M-LOK rather than Picatinny-only or a different slot standard. Being ultra-compact it needs very little clear slot space, which is part of why it suits slim free-float forends that are already carrying a light. No Picatinny rail or adaptor is required.

Is it a grip or a hand stop?

Both — it is a hybrid, shorter than a full vertical grip, so it works as an index point your support hand drives into rather than something you wrap a whole fist around. That suits a modern C-clamp or thumb-over-bore hold, where you want to stop the hand travelling forward without giving up the handguard. The TSP texture keeps that contact positive in the wet or in gloves.

How does it compare with a full vertical grip or an angled grip?

The SVG is the minimal option: choose it when you want a reference point rather than a grip, and want to keep length, weight and snag points down. The MVG is the full vertical grip if you prefer something to hold rather than index against, and the angled AFG puts the hand thumb-forward along the forend instead.
