The Holosun P.ID HC is a rail-mounted handgun light that puts 800 lumens into a 42,000 candela hotspot, running on a rechargeable 18350 cell and clamping to a MIL-STD 1913 rail.
HC stands for high candela, and that is the entire design brief: the same class of output as its siblings, concentrated into a far tighter beam that reaches much further down a dark yard.
The body is 7075-T6 aluminium, hard anodised, rated IPX8 and tested to 1500G, measuring 3.2 × 1.2 × 1.4 in and weighing about 5 oz. Activation is ambidextrous, with push-forward and push-inward switching for either hand, and the 18350 charges in place through a magnetic USB cable so the cell never has to come out. Holosun rates a lower output mode at up to 60 minutes of runtime.
Choose it when identifying something at distance matters more than lighting a room: candela is what carries a beam, and 42,000 is a lot for a light this size. The flip side is the beam shape — a tight hotspot means less spill close in, so in confined spaces a wider, floodier light is the more comfortable tool.

What the P.ID HC fits
It clamps to a MIL-STD 1913 accessory rail, as fitted to full-size and many compact handguns and to pistol-calibre carbines. For a broader beam with more close-range spill, the P.ID at 1000 lumens is the flood option; a shorter body is the P.ID-K; and for far more throw on a rifle, the RAID.
