The Holosun RAID is a rail-mounted rifle weapon light producing 1000 lumens and 80,000 candela from a rechargeable 18650 cell charged over USB-C.
Eighty thousand candela out of 1000 lumens is a very tight beam for this class, and that is the entire point of the RAID: the light goes down range as a hotspot rather than spilling across the near field.
The body is 7075 T6 aluminium, 5.3 in long and 1.38 in across, weighing 5.3 oz, rated IPX8 and 1000G, with an operating range of -10C to 51C. It fits a Picatinny rail directly and Holosun also lists it as compatible with M-LOK and Scout-pattern mounting systems. Switching is either the integrated tailcap button or the Crane plug pressure pad supplied with the light.
Throw is what you want when the job is identifying something at the far end of a field before deciding anything, and it is not what you want for searching a shed at arm's length — a tight beam gives less useful spill up close. The rechargeable cell keeps the running cost down compared with a light that eats CR123A primaries, at the cost of needing a charge before a long night out.

What the RAID fits
