The Holosun AEMS-MICRO-GD is the smallest enclosed-emitter sight Holosun make, projecting a 590 nm gold Multi-Reticle System behind a 0.71 x 0.71 in (18 x 18 mm) window.
Sealed optics used to mean bulk. This one weighs 2.1 oz in a body of 1.5 x 1 x 1.2 in, small enough to hang off the side of a rifle without anyone noticing it is there.
The housing is 7075 T6 aluminium, rated IPX8 for immersion and tested to 5000G of vibration. A single CR1620 coin cell is rated for up to 100,000 hours, backed by Solar Failsafe, which supplements the cell in daylight, and Shake Awake, which sleeps the reticle when the gun is still. Lock Mode holds the settings where you left them. Windage and elevation move 1 MOA per click with 30 MOA of travel each way, and twelve brightness settings split eight daylight and four night-vision compatible. Holosun give the footprint as RMSc, with an RMSc to AEMS-MICRO adapter plate included.
Gold sits between red and green in the spectrum and gives strong contrast against washed-out, bright backgrounds, which is the reason to choose it over the red or green version of the same sight. The size is what decides most purchases here: at this weight it can be offset or piggybacked alongside a magnified optic without upsetting the balance of the rifle. The limitation is that the mounting pattern is RMSc based, so an RMR-cut host needs a different sight or a different plate.

What the AEMS Micro fits
Holosun give the footprint as RMSc and supply an RMSc to AEMS-MICRO adapter plate with the sight, which is what lets it sit on RMSc-cut hosts and on offset mounts machined to that pattern. The identical sight is made in red and green, and if you want a bigger window in the same enclosed family the AEMS Macro Gold is the step up. More sealed options sit in Enclosed Red Dot Sights.
