Product Overview

The Holosun AEMS EVO Green Dot Sight is a 1x enclosed-emitter rifle sight running Holosun’s Multi-Reticle System in green — a 2 MOA dot, a 65 MOA circle, or the two together.

The emitter is sealed inside the housing, so the reticle cannot be blanked by the rain, mud or grit that will eventually find an open sight.

The housing is 7075 T6 aluminium rated IPX8 and tested to 1000G, with a body of 2.68 × 1.77 × 2.6 in and a supplied 1.63 in mount for lower 1/3 co-witness. Holosun lists the optic at 8.15 oz and the mount at 2.45 oz. The reticle is a 540 nm green emitter behind a square 1.26 × 0.98 in (32 × 25 mm) window.

The square window is the point of the AEMS shape: it is wide enough to shoot with both eyes open and to pick a target up quickly when the rifle comes across. Green sits where the eye is most sensitive, so at a given setting it often reads brighter than the same power in red. Illumination runs to 8 daylight settings and 4 that are night-vision compatible, adjustment is 0.5 MOA per click across ±50 MOA, and power comes from a CR2032 rated at 100,000 hours with Shake Awake and Solar Failsafe behind it.

What the AEMS EVO fits

It mounts on the supplied 1.63 in base to any Picatinny flat-top receiver, sitting at lower 1/3 co-witness with AR-height iron sights.
