The EOTech Vudu 1-6x24 (VDU1-6FFSR2) is a first focal plane low-power variable rifle scope with the illuminated SR2 reticle, built on a 30 mm tube with a 24 mm objective.
A true 1x at the bottom of the range for both-eyes-open shooting, and 6x at the top when the target needs picking apart rather than simply finding.
EOTech uses XC high-density glass in an aircraft-aluminium 30 mm tube, waterproof, fogproof and shock resistant, and the scope is made in Japan. Illumination runs from a CR2032 lithium cell. The complete scope measures 10.63 in (270 mm) and weighs 20.1 oz (570 g), and a throw lever, lens covers and battery are supplied with it.
The SR2 is an MOA-based Speed Ring reticle carrying ballistic drop references for both .308 Winchester (7.62 mm) and .223 Remington (5.56 mm), so one reticle covers two of the most common chamberings on the firing point. Because the reticle sits in the first focal plane it scales with magnification, which means those holds are true at 3x and 5x rather than only at full power — the deciding factor if you hold off the reticle instead of dialling the turret. A mount or cantilever for the 30 mm tube is a separate purchase.

What the Vudu 1-6x24 fits
Any rifle that can carry a 30 mm scope mount with the eye relief the scope wants — most commonly an AR-pattern flat-top with a cantilever. Two other reticles are made in the same body: the SR3 MOA 5.56 version and the SR1 MRAD version. For more magnification, the Vudu 1-10x28 is the next size up.
