The EOTech Vudu 1-6x24 in the SR1 configuration is a first focal plane low-power variable rifle scope with an illuminated SR1 MRAD reticle on a 30mm tube, part number VDU1-6FFSR1.
A true 1x at the bottom of the range and 6x at the top, with the reticle in the front plane so a milliradian stays a milliradian at every magnification.
EOTech builds it around XC high-density glass in a 30mm aircraft aluminium tube, made in Japan, and rates it waterproof, fogproof and shock resistant. It is 10.63 in (270 mm) long and weighs 20.1 oz (570 g). Illumination runs from a CR2032 lithium cell. Turrets move in 0.2 MRAD clicks, with 29 MRAD of elevation and 23 MRAD of windage travel.
First focal plane is the point of this version: the SR1 subtensions range and hold correctly at 3x or 6x as well as at maximum, so nothing has to be dialled to full power before a holdover means anything. Field of view is 102.4 ft at 1x and 16.7 ft at 6x per hundred yards. The trade is the usual one for an FFP low-power optic — at 1x the reticle is small, and it is the illumination rather than the etching that carries the eye, so an unlit 1x picture is not a red dot substitute.

What the Vudu 1-6x24 fits
It needs a 30mm mount or cantilever, bought separately, on a Picatinny rail, which puts it on flat-top AR-pattern receivers and straight-pull uppers. The same scope with MOA subtensions and a 5.56 BDC is the Vudu 1-6x24 SR3 MOA, the 7.62 BDC is the Vudu 1-6x24 SR2, and mounts for it sit in optic mounts.
