This EOTech Vudu 1-10x28 is the first focal plane model carrying the SR5 MRAD reticle in its daylight-bright form, on a 34 mm tube with a 28 mm objective, in black.
Daylight-bright is the whole distinction here: the centre of the reticle lights hard enough to be used like a red dot at 1x in open sun, so one optic covers the close target and the far one.
EOTech builds it in Japan and quotes 10.63 in (270 mm) and 21.3 oz (603 g), with illumination from a CR2032 cell. The SR5 is a milliradian reticle with a 0.2 MRAD centre dot, etched in the first focal plane so its subtensions stay true at every power, and the turrets move in 0.1 MRAD clicks with roughly 29 MRAD of elevation and 23 MRAD of windage available in total.
It suits the shooter who wants one scope on a service-pattern or straight-pull rifle and refuses to hang a second sight off the side of it. What the Vudu 1-10x28 fits
Any rifle you can give a 34 mm mount to, which in practice means a one-piece 34 mm cantilever on an AR-pattern flat-top or a pair of 34 mm rings on a bolt or straight-pull action. If you do not need the daylight-bright centre, the standard illuminated SR5 is the same scope for less; in MOA the equivalent is the SR4 MOA, and the LE5 MRAD is the alternative milliradian reticle.
