This EOTech Vudu 1-10x28 is the first focal plane variant carrying the illuminated LE5 milliradian reticle, on a 34 mm main tube with a 28 mm objective, part number VDU1-10FFLE5.
The LE5 is the sparser of the Vudu's milliradian reticles: fewer marks in the glass, a cleaner view at speed, and a scope aimed at the shooter who prefers to dial elevation rather than count hash marks.
EOTech builds it in Japan, and quotes 10.63 in (270 mm) of length and 21.3 oz (603 g) of weight. The reticle is etched in the first focal plane, so its subtensions hold true at every setting on the magnification ring rather than at one nominated power, and illumination lifts the centre out of a dark background. Field of view runs from 116.6 ft at 1x down to 11.7 ft at 10x, measured at 100 yd.
A 1-10x is the answer to running one optic on a rifle that has to shoot both close and far, and ten power is enough to identify and hold on a target well past what a dot will manage. Two things to be clear about: a first focal plane reticle is necessarily small and fine at 1x, and the 34 mm tube rules out the 30 mm rings you may already have on the shelf.

What the Vudu 1-10x28 LE5 fits
It needs a 34 mm mount — a one-piece cantilever on an AR-pattern flat-top, or a pair of 34 mm rings on a bolt or straight-pull action.
