The EOTech G43 (G43.STS) is a fixed 3x magnifier in black, supplied on EOTech's Switch-to-Side quick-detach mount.
This is the short one. At roughly 3.1 in against the G33's 3.9 in, the G43 gives the same 3x from a body that leaves useful rail behind the sight.
Complete with its mount the unit weighs approximately 11.3 oz (320 g) and gives approximately 2.5 in (64 mm) of eye relief. Windage and elevation adjustments align the magnified image with the sight ahead of it, and a dioptre ring brings the picture into focus for the individual eye. The STS mount clamps a 1 in Weaver or MIL-STD-1913 rail and releases by lever. EOTech states the magnifier is assembled in the USA and rates it for submersion to 33 ft (10 m).
A magnifier has no reticle of its own — it simply enlarges whatever the holographic or red dot sight in front of it is already projecting, which is why the zero stays with the sight and not with the magnifier. Swing it out of the way and the rifle is back at 1x for close targets in less time than a magnification ring takes to turn. The limitation worth knowing is that it must sit at the same height as the sight it works with, so check the height of your dot before ordering.

What the G43 fits
Any Picatinny or 1 in Weaver rail with clearance behind the sight, matched to the height of the optic in front. Without a mount the same magnifier is the G43 no-mount version in black, the tan version is the G43 with STS mount in Tan, and for longer identification the G45 at 5x steps up.
