The EOTech EXPS3-2TAN is a 1x holographic weapon sight in a tan housing, running a 68 MOA ring with two stacked 1 MOA aiming dots.
The second dot is the entire point of the -2: the upper dot is your zero and the one beneath it is a fixed holdover you can take without touching a turret.
Brightness runs across 20 daylight settings and 10 dim enough to sit behind a night vision device, and windage and elevation move in 0.5 MOA steps. Power comes from a single CR123 lithium cell. The sight clamps to a 1 in Weaver or MIL-STD-1913 rail on its integrated quick-detach lever, and the housing is sealed against water to 10 m (33 ft).
It suits Civilian Service Rifle and practical rifle shooters who want a built-in second aiming point, and night fox work where the night-vision settings earn their keep. Two things to weigh first: a holographic ring and 1 MOA dots cover more of the target than a plain 2 MOA dot, which is deliberate but not to everyone's taste, and the tan housing is a finish choice only — the optic itself is identical to the black EXPS3-2.
