The EOTech EXPS3-1TAN is a 1x holographic weapon sight whose reticle is a single 1 MOA dot with nothing around it, in a tan housing on an integrated quick-detach lever.
One fine aiming point and an otherwise empty window — which is what most shooters want from a sight that spends its life in front of a magnifier.
The tan housing carries the transverse battery compartment and takes one CR123 lithium cell. The lever clamps to a 1 in Weaver or MIL-STD-1913 rail without tools, windage and elevation move in 0.5 MOA steps, and the sight is rated for 33 ft (10 m) of depth. Brightness runs across 20 daylight settings with a further 10 for use behind night vision.
It earns its place on rifles shot at mixed distances, on night-vision equipped setups and on builds where a tan optic matches the furniture. The honest trade is close-range speed: the 68 MOA ring on the EXPS3-0 is faster to catch with a wide-open eye, and the bare dot asks a little more of your index. If the sight is going behind a magnifier, that ring is largely wasted anyway.
