The EOTech EXPS3-1 is a 1x holographic weapon sight whose reticle is a single 1 MOA red dot, with no ring around it, in the black finish.
Every other sight in the EXPS3 family gives you a 68 MOA ring to catch the eye; this one deliberately takes it away and leaves the window empty except for the aiming point.
EOTech lists the sight at 11.2 oz (317.5 g) and 3.8 x 2.3 x 2.9 in, running from one CR123 lithium cell. It clamps to a 1in Weaver or MIL-STD-1913 rail through an integrated quick-detach lever on a 7 mm raised base, so the window sits high enough to clear AR-height iron sights, and the housing is waterproof to 10 m (33 ft).
Illumination runs to 20 daylight settings plus 10 night-vision levels for Gen I to Gen III+ devices, and windage and elevation move in 0.5 MOA steps. The trade is honest enough: without a ring there is less for the eye to lock on to at arm's length, so close-range pickup is a fraction slower than the ringed models. Behind a magnifier, though, a bare dot is the cleaner picture, and a fine 1 MOA dot covers very little of a distant target.

What the EXPS3-1 fits
It goes on any 1in Weaver or MIL-STD-1913 rail, which covers AR-pattern flat-tops, straight-pull carbines and railed shotguns, and the raised base leaves room for a magnifier behind it.
