The SureFire Z68-TN is the Z68 click-type tailcap switch in tan, made for SureFire Scout Light weapon lights and flashlights with a 3/4-inch diameter switch interface.
Two reasons to buy a tailcap on its own: a worn switch on a light you otherwise like, or a tan body wearing a black cap that has bothered you since the day it arrived.
The cap is aerospace aluminium with a Mil-Spec hard anodised finish, matching the bodies it threads onto. A raised guard rings the push-button to keep a knock or a snag off it, and a lock-out feature disables the switch entirely so a light in a bag cannot be turned on by accident.
Operation is momentary-on with a press and constant-on with a click, which is the standard SureFire tailcap behaviour. It is a switch and nothing more, so it does not add a remote socket; a light that needs a pressure pad wants one of the remote-capable rear caps instead.
