The SureFire DS00 in Tan, part DS00-TN, is a switch assembly that replaces the standard tailcap on a SureFire Scout Light weapon light.
It is more than a button on the back: the DS00 carries a receptacle that accepts SureFire's ST07, SR07 and SR07-D-IT remote tape switches, so one tailcap covers thumb operation now and a remote pad later.
The tailcap is finished in Tan to match a Tan light body and unscrews and screws on in place of the existing cap, with no tools involved. Switching is by a click-on and click-off pushbutton with a system disable feature, so the light can be locked out when it is stowed or in a bag.
It suits a build where the light sits far enough forward that the tail is still within reach of the support thumb, and it is the sensible spare for a Scout Light whose original cap has been damaged or lost. Two limitations worth stating plainly: SureFire specifies momentary operation for its dedicated remote switches rather than for this integral pushbutton, and the remote tape switches the receptacle accepts are sold separately. It fits the Scout Light M300, M340, M600 and M640 families, but not the Micro Scout Light Pro.

What the DS00 fits
It screws onto the Scout Light M300, M340, M600 and M640 families in place of the standard tailcap, and is excluded only from the Micro Scout Light Pro.
