The SureFire CSM-09 is a compact remote cable switch that clamps directly to an M-LOK slot and plugs into a socket-equipped SureFire WeaponLight, on a 9 in cable.
Cable length is the only thing separating this from the shorter CSM-07, and it is the thing that decides whether the pad lands where your hand actually sits.
The pad body is a durable polymer and the M-LOK clamp fixes it into a handguard slot without an intervening rail section, so the switch sits flush against the handguard rather than perched on top of it. The 9 in lead suits a light mounted further forward, or a pad set further back towards the grip.
It fits SureFire WeaponLights with plug sockets, which covers Millennium Universal and Classic Universal lights, Scout Lights fitted with a socketed tailcap, and the X300 and X400 running an XT tailcap assembly. That is the limit worth checking before you order: a light without a switch socket cannot take it, and a Scout Light with a standard clicky tailcap needs the socketed cap first.

What the CSM-09 fits
It needs an M-LOK slot on the handguard and a SureFire light with a switch socket. The same pad on a shorter cable is the CSM-07, the Picatinny version at this cable length is the CSP-09, and a Scout Light that does not yet have a socket needs a tailcap such as the Z68 considered first.
