The Streamlight TLR-8 HL-X USB, part 69465, is a compact pistol light with an integrated red aiming laser, supplied with an SL-B9 USB-C rechargeable battery pack.
Two devices on one mount and one switch. A separate light and a separate laser means two clamps, two batteries and twice the argument about where your support hand goes.
The body is anodised machined aluminium, 2.90 in long, weighing 3.14 oz with the SL-B9 pack fitted or 3.04 oz on a CR123A cell, rated IPX4. On the SL-B9 it gives 1000 lumens and 22,000 candela for a 297 metre beam over 30 minutes, or an hour if programmed down to 500 lumens; on a CR123A primary cell it runs 500 lumens and 11,000 candela for 210 metres over 1.5 hours.
The red laser runs at 640-660 nm, Class 3R with an output below 5 mW, and lasts 29 hours on its own. White light, laser or both together are selectable, and the ambidextrous rear paddles come in HIGH and LOW options so the controls can be matched to the grip. The honest note is the IPX4 rating: this is a water-resistant light rather than an immersion-rated one, so it will shrug off rain but should not be treated like a diving torch.
