The SIG Sauer TANGO-MSR 1-10x28, SOTM11000, is a low-power variable optic with the illuminated MSR BDC-10 reticle in the second focal plane, supplied with an ALPHA-MSR cantilever mount.
This is the long-reach model of the line. The 34 mm tube and 28 mm objective are what make a true 10x top end worth having rather than merely printed on the ring.
It is 10.5 in long and 20.4 oz, on a 34 mm maintube with a 28 mm objective. The turrets are capped and move in 0.5 MOA increments, and reticle illumination runs across 11 brightness levels from a single CR2032 cell. The ALPHA-MSR cantilever mount comes in the box, so the scope goes onto a flat-top receiver without a separate mount purchase.
At the bottom of the range it behaves like a red dot with both eyes open; wound up it identifies and engages at distance, which is the whole argument for a 1-10x on a service-pattern or straight-pull rifle. The second focal plane reticle stays a constant visual size, so it is always usable at 1x — the trade being that the BDC-10 holdovers are only correct at one magnification, unlike a first focal plane scope.
