The SIG Sauer ROMEO8T in black is a 1x enclosed red dot sight with a 38 mm clear aperture and a selectable red ballistic circle-dot reticle, wearing a removable titanium shroud over a 7075-T6 aluminium body.
The shroud is the whole argument for the T model. It is a sacrificial layer of titanium standing between the housing and whatever the rifle gets dropped onto, and it lifts off when you do not want it.
Illumination has 13 settings, ten for daylight and three compatible with night vision, managed by SIG's MOTAC motion activation, which wakes the reticle when the rifle moves and shuts it down when it does not. Adjustment is 0.5 MOA per click, and SIG gives the travel as 100 MOA of elevation and 100 MOA of windage. A single CR123A is rated at over 100,000 hours. The sight mounts on an integrated M1913 Picatinny interface with a hex bolt torqued to 65 in-lb, is sealed to IPX-8 and weighs 13.7 oz (388 g).
It is a sensible optic for a rifle that lives outdoors in British weather, because an enclosed emitter cannot be blanked by rain or mud in the way an open reflex sight can, and the three night-vision settings suit anyone shooting behind a night vision device. Set against that, 13.7 oz is heavy for a red dot and the titanium shroud is a large part of why, so the lighter ROMEO8H is the version to look at if weight is the deciding factor.

What the ROMEO8T fits
The integrated M1913 interface bolts straight to a Picatinny rail, torqued to 65 in-lb, so a flat-top AR or a straight-pull receiver rail needs nothing extra. The same sight in Flat Dark Earth is the ROMEO8T in FDE, the ROMEO8H is the lighter version without the titanium shroud, and the ROMEO8T-AMR and JULIET3T-AMR kit bundles a magnifier.
