SORJ5X201 is SIG Sauer's boxed pairing of the 1x ROMEO5XDR Gen II red dot sight with the 5x JULIET5-Micro magnifier, both cut for Picatinny (M1913) rail.
Five times magnification is what separates this kit from the rest of the ROMEO and JULIET pairings. Behind a circle-dot reticle it is enough to work out what is standing at the far end of a field, rather than simply confirming that something is there.
The ROMEO5XDR Gen II runs a 20 mm objective and projects a 2 MOA dot inside a 65 MOA circle, across ten daylight settings and two for use behind night vision. SIG rate the sight on a single AAA cell at 50,000 hours. Turret travel is generous at 100 MOA of elevation and 100 MOA of windage, and both the sight and the magnifier arrive on their own Picatinny mounts in a black finish.
It answers the rifle that spends its day switching between close targets and identification work further out, and buying the two together means the optical heights already agree. Be clear on what a magnifier does, though: it enlarges the reticle along with the target, so the 2 MOA dot subtends the same angle behind glass and the system stays a red dot rather than becoming a variable scope.
