The Reptilia CQG-AK is a moulded pistol grip for AK-47 pattern rifles, bringing the CQG's steep vertical angle and beavertail to the Kalashnikov platform.
The AK grip problem, solved by the people who fixed it on the AR.
The standard AK grip is short, raked back and finished smooth, which is why almost every serious AK build changes it first. The CQG-AK carries across the geometry Reptilia developed on the AR: a steep vertical grip angle that rolls the wrist forward, and an enhanced beavertail that lifts the web of the hand up against the receiver instead of leaving it hanging below the tang.
Anti-slip texturing front and rear keeps the hold secure in gloves or wet weather, and the reinforced nylon moulding is the same tough material Reptilia uses across the CQG range. It is a genuine ergonomics change rather than a cosmetic one — the hand ends up in a different, stronger place on the rifle.
Why shooters choose the CQG-AK Grip
-
Steep vertical grip angle — replaces the AK's raked-back geometry with a modern hold
-
Enhanced beavertail — raises the hand against the receiver for a higher, tighter grip
-
Anti-slip texture front and rear — secure in gloves, rain or cold
-
Reinforced nylon moulding — hard-wearing, with no slick factory finish
-
Two field colours — FDE Peanut Butter and Field Drab, both Reptilia's own printed names
What the CQG-AK Grip fits
Fits AK-47 pattern rifles using the standard AK grip screw and nut. It is not an AR-pattern grip and will not fit an AR-15 or AR-10 lower — for those, see the CQG or the CQG-NB.
