The Holosun HS507 ProMax, HS507-PROMAX-RD-PRS, is a 1x open-reflex competition pistol sight on the Trijicon RMR footprint, carrying the Performance Reticle System behind a 1.18 x 0.98 in (30.0 x 24.9 mm) window.
Most sights make you choose your reticle at the till. This one lets you choose it at the stage: a 2 MOA dot, or a circle at 8, 20 or 32 MOA around it.
The housing is 7075-T6 aluminium in a black anodised finish, rated IP67 against water and dust, and Holosun give the weight as 1.7 oz. A CR1632 cell loads from a tray in the side so the battery can be changed with the sight still zeroed, rated by Holosun at 50,000 hours at setting 6, and a solar panel supplements it through Solar Failsafe so daylight alone will keep the reticle lit. Shake Awake handles standby and Lockout Mode stops the buttons being pressed by accident.
An enlarged window is the practical advantage here: more glass means the dot is found faster on the draw and stays in view when the gun moves between targets. Adjustment is 1 MOA per click with 30 MOA of travel either way, and twelve brightness levels split eight daylight and four night-vision compatible. It is an open-emitter design, so it is lighter and lower than a sealed sight but the emitter window wants keeping clean in the wet.
