The Holosun EPS CORE (EPS-CORE-RD-3) is a 1x enclosed-emitter red dot sight with a fixed 3 MOA dot and a direct RMSc footprint.
The stripped-back version of the enclosed EPS, which keeps the one feature people buy an enclosed sight for: a sealed emitter that lint and rain cannot block.
The housing is 6061 aluminium, measuring 1.61 x 1.18 x 0.97 in (40.9 x 30.0 x 24.6 mm) and weighing 1.4 oz (40 g), rated IPX8 for water and tested to 5000G of shock. A CR1620 cell sits in a side-loading tray for up to 50,000 hours, with Shake Awake sleeping the reticle when the gun is still. Eight daylight and four night vision brightness settings are available, and the sight remembers the last one used.
A 3 MOA dot is the middle choice: it covers roughly three inches at 100 yards, small enough for a deliberate shot but still quick to find under pressure, where a 6 MOA dot is faster and cruder and a 2 MOA dot is finer and slower. Adjustment is 1.5 MOA per click with plus or minus 30 MOA of travel. What the CORE gives up against the dearer EPS models is Solar Failsafe and the 7075 housing alloy; what it keeps is the enclosed window and the direct footprint.
