CORE is the stripped-back EPS: no Solar Failsafe and a hard anodised 6061 aluminium housing rather than the premium alloy, but the sealed emitter that justifies buying an enclosed optic in the first place is untouched. The window measures 0.90 x 0.63 in (22.9 x 16.0 mm), adjustment is 1.5 MOA per click with 30 MOA of travel each way, and there are 8 daylight and 4 night-vision brightness levels with memory recall. A side-loading CR1620 tray gives up to 50,000 hours and lets you change the cell without unbolting the sight, and Shake Awake wakes the dot on movement. A 3 MOA dot is the middle setting of the range: finer than a 6 MOA for a deliberate shot, coarser than a 2 MOA to find in a hurry. Note what CORE leaves out, though, because it matters in daylight: there is no solar cell backing up the battery, so the CR1620 is the only power source, and the footprint is RMSc, not RMR.
