The Holosun ARO EVO (ARO-EVO-RD2) is an enclosed-emitter 1x rifle red dot sight with a single 2 MOA red dot behind a 26 mm (1.02 in) window, supplied with two mounts.
An enclosed emitter is the point of this sight. The LED fires into a sealed tube rather than across an open bridge, so rain, mud and the grit thrown off a shooting mat never get near it.
The housing is 6061-T6 aluminium, hard anodised, rated IPX8 for immersion and tested to 1000G. Holosun gives the body as 4.3 oz and the mount as a further 1.7 oz. Power is a CR2032 rated at up to 50,000 hours, backed by a solar panel through Solar Failsafe and put to sleep by Shake Awake when the rifle is still. There are 8 daylight settings and 4 night-vision settings, clicks are 0.5 MOA and total travel is 50 MOA either way. Both a 1.63 in lower 1/3 mount and a 1.05 in low mount are in the box.
It is a rifle sight rather than a pistol one, and the plain 2 MOA dot is the version for shooters who find a circle-dot busy. Eye relief is unlimited, so head position is forgiving. If you want a smaller and lighter optic the 22 mm ARO MRS is the alternative, and if you want ranging marks the SPR reticle covers that; this one gives you a dot and nothing else, which is the appeal.

What the ARO EVO fits
