The Holosun AEMS CORE X2 is an enclosed-emitter rifle red dot sight with a single 2 MOA red dot behind a 1.1 x 0.87 in (28 x 22 mm) window, supplied with a lower 1/3 co-witness mount.
CORE means stripped back: one aiming dot, no reticle switching and no solar panel. If you have never once reached for a 65 MOA circle, this is the AEMS that does not charge you for one.
The emitter sits inside a sealed housing rated IP67, so rain, mud and grit cannot land on it and blank the dot, which is the whole argument for an enclosed sight over an open reflex. The body is aluminium with a MAO finish, weighing 4.1 oz on its own and 5.7 oz with the mount fitted, and measuring 2.22 x 1.76 x 2.44 in. Holosun's X2 optical system cuts parallax by up to 50% against the previous generation.
Illumination covers 10 daylight settings and 2 for night vision, and the turrets move in 0.5 MOA clicks across ±50 MOA. One CR2032 gives up to 50,000 hours, with Shake Awake shutting the dot down when the rifle is left still and waking it the moment it moves. The limitation is deliberate rather than accidental: there is no solar backup on the CORE, so when the cell finally goes the sight goes with it — the PRO models are the ones that add Solar Failsafe.

What the AEMS CORE X2 fits
The supplied mount clamps to a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail and sets the dot for lower 1/3 co-witness, so AR-height iron sights appear in the bottom of the window on a standard flat-top. The same sight with a green reticle is the AEMS CORE X2 green and in gold the AEMS CORE X2 gold. The rest are in enclosed red dot sights.
