The EOTech Vudu 1-10x28 in Tan is a first-focal-plane low-power variable rifle scope with a genuine ten-times zoom range and the illuminated SR5 MRAD reticle.
At the bottom of the range it works like a red dot with both eyes open; at the top it is a 10x scope, and the reticle subtensions are honest at every setting in between.
The 34 mm main tube is aircraft aluminium behind a 28 mm objective, with EOTech’s XC high-density glass, a locking elevation turret and capped windage. It is waterproof, fogproof and shock-resistant, measures 10.63 in (270 mm), weighs 21.3 oz (603 g), runs the illumination from a CR2032 and is made in Japan.
SR5 is a duplex-style reticle graduated in milliradians with a 0.2 MRAD aiming dot at the centre, so it ranges and holds without arithmetic if you already think in mils. Because the reticle sits in the first focal plane it grows with the image, which is what keeps those holds true at 4x as well as 10x. Field of view runs from 116.6 ft at 1x to 11.7 ft at 10x per 100 yd. EOTech does not publish a click value or a total adjustment range for this scope, so neither figure is quoted here — and the scope needs a 34mm mount, which is not included.
