Product Overview

The BCM Vertical Grip Mod 3 is a low-profile vertical foregrip for AR-15 and M4 rifles, mounting directly to any 1913 Picatinny rail section.

A short vertical grip that stays out of the way — this is the direct-mount Picatinny version, not the M-LOK one.

The BCM VG-1913-Mod-3 uses Bravo Company USA's patented direct-mount Picatinny 1913 interface (US Patent 9,709,358), designed as a rigid, light and economical way to hang a vertical grip or hand stop off a rail without a bulky separate clamp. The grip body is short: low-profile length for increased mobility and a decreased snag factor, so it will not catch on a sling, a plate carrier or the edge of a barricade.

The forward angle increases the rigidity of the forearm while giving a more natural wrist angle, and the grip can be mounted in reverse to change how it loads when you grab handguard and grip together. Flat sides with an aggressive texture give better yaw control — the rifle stops rolling in the hand under recoil. It weighs 1.9 oz (54 g). Made in the U.S.A. from high-quality impact-resistant polymers.

Why shooters choose the Vertical Grip Mod 3

  • Direct 1913 Picatinny mount — patented interface, no separate clamp
  • Low-profile length — more mobility, less to snag
  • Reversible — mount it either way round to suit your hold
  • Flat, aggressively textured sides — yaw control under recoil
  • 1.9 oz (54 g) — capability without meaningful mass

What the Vertical Grip Mod 3 fits

This is the Picatinny version. It mounts directly to any 1913 Picatinny rail section — a quad rail, or a rail ladder fitted to a free-float tube — and it will not fit an M-LOK handguard. Ordering the wrong interface is the easiest mistake to make here, so check the handguard before you buy: if the slots are elongated M-LOK cut-outs rather than a ladder of square Picatinny teeth, you want the M-LOK version of the same grip. Fitting needs a T15 Torx driver, sold separately, torqued to approximately 18–20 in-lb (2.0–2.3 Nm) plus a quarter turn. It suits a UK straight-pull AR-15 as readily as any other AR-pattern build — a defined support-hand position is what makes the hold repeat after every cycle.

Product Questions

Is this the Picatinny version or the M-LOK version?
This is the Picatinny one. It mounts directly to any 1913 Picatinny rail section and will not fit an M-LOK handguard. The same grip with an M-LOK interface is the Vertical Grip Mod 3 for M-LOK. Look at your handguard before ordering: elongated oval cut-outs are M-LOK, a ladder of square teeth is Picatinny.
What does mounting it in reverse do?
The grip can be fitted either way round. Run it forward-raked and it works as a conventional vertical grip you pull back into the shoulder; run it reversed and it gives a different loading point when you grab the handguard and the grip together. Neither is right or wrong — fit it one way, shoot a few strings, and try the other before you decide.
How much does it weigh and how do I fit it?
Bravo Company USA quotes 1.9 oz (54 g), so it is a negligible addition to a handguard. Fitting needs a T15 Torx driver, which is not included, torqued to approximately 18–20 in-lb (2.0–2.3 Nm) plus a quarter turn. Re-check the fastener after your first range session, as with any newly fitted accessory.
Why flat sides rather than a rounded grip?
The flat sides carry an aggressive texture and give better yaw control, which is Bravo Company USA's way of saying the rifle is less able to roll in your hand under recoil. A round post lets the gun rotate slightly; flats give the palm something to resist against. The short overall length is deliberate too — it is there to be indexed against, not wrapped in a full fist.
How quickly does it ship and can I return it?
Grips are dispatched from the United Kingdom with free tracked UK delivery in 7–10 days, and tracking is emailed to you on despatch. If it turns out not to suit your handguard or your hold, see our returns policy or contact us and we'll help sort it.
