A short vertical grip that stays out of the way — this is the direct-attach M-LOK version, not the Picatinny one.
The BCM VG-MCMR-Mod-3 bolts straight into the M-LOK slots of a handguard, with no rail section and no separate clamp in between. The body is deliberately short: low-profile length for increased mobility and a decreased snag factor, so it will not catch on a sling, a plate carrier or the edge of a barricade the way a full-length post can.
The forward angle increases the rigidity of the forearm while giving a more natural wrist angle, and the grip can be mounted at a reverse angle to increase control when you grab handguard and grip together. Flat sides with an aggressive texture give better yaw control to the shooter during firing — the rifle stops rolling in the hand under recoil. It weighs 1.9 oz (54 g). What the Vertical Grip Mod 3 fits
This is the M-LOK version. It attaches directly to the M-LOK slots of any M-LOK handguard or forend, and it will not fit a Picatinny rail. Ordering the wrong interface is the easiest mistake to make here, so check the handguard before you buy: elongated oval cut-outs are M-LOK, while a ladder of square teeth is Picatinny and wants the Picatinny version of the same grip. Set it where your support hand naturally falls when the rifle is shouldered, torque down, then re-check the hardware after the first outing. It suits a UK straight-pull AR-15 as readily as any other AR-pattern build — a defined support-hand position is what makes the hold repeat after every cycle.
