What lowers does it fit?

It is a drop-in fit for AR-15 and M4 pattern lower receivers with mil-spec trigger pins. Large-pin receivers will not take it, so check before ordering. No receiver modification is required to install it.

Is a fixed 3 lb (1.4 kg) trigger the right choice for me?

If you already know what weight you want, a fixed trigger removes the temptation to keep fiddling and gives you the same pull every time you pick the rifle up. Three pounds is a common competition setting — quick enough for a stage, controlled enough to be sensible. If you would rather experiment, an adjustable Adaptable or Diamond model makes more sense.

How does the flat shoe change things?

A flat bow gives you a consistent point of contact and a press that runs straight to the rear, which helps with repeatability when you are shooting to a standard. It also feels slightly lighter at the bottom of the shoe because of where the leverage falls, even though the measured weight is unchanged. Shooters used to a curved trigger usually adapt within a session or two.

What is the difference between the black and stainless versions?

Only the finish. The stainless Competitive flat is the same 3 lb (1.4 kg) single-stage trigger with a different look, as is the Blue/Black version. Pick whichever you prefer visually; there is more of the line in the TriggerTech collection.
