The B in the part number is the mount, not the lamp. A thumbscrew clamp takes longer to fit than a lever, and in exchange it pulls the light down onto a Picatinny rail hard enough that it stays exactly where it was put.
Output is 1,000 lumens with 11,300 candela of peak beam intensity, which SureFire measure as 213 metres of beam distance, and two CR123A lithium cells run it for approximately 1.25 hours. The body is aerospace aluminium in a mil-spec hard anodised finish, 3.76in (9.55 cm) long with a 1.125in (2.9 cm) bezel, and weighs 4.1 oz (116 g) with batteries in. It is rated IPX7.
Switching is ambidextrous, with momentary and constant-on from either side, and the standard tailcap can be replaced with a remote switch tailcap from the X-series accessory range if you would rather run a pressure pad. Because the mount is a plain Picatinny clamp, it is not limited to pistols: a carbine forend or a railed shotgun takes it just as well. It is not a rechargeable light, so keep a pair of CR123A cells in the kit bag.
