The SureFire M640DF Scout Light Pro in Tan is a full-size rifle-mounted LED weapon light that runs either one SF18650 rechargeable cell or two CR123A lithium primaries.
DF stands for Dual Fuel, and it is the feature that matters most on a light you rely on: when the rechargeable cell is flat, two shop-bought primaries will finish the night.
On the SF18650 it produces 1500 lumens and 16,000 candela for a 250 metre beam, running approximately 1.5 hours; on two CR123A cells it gives 1200 lumens and 12,800 candela for 220 metres over approximately 1.25 hours. The body is Mil-Spec hard anodised aerospace aluminium, 5.56 in (14.1 cm) long with a 1.125 in (2.9 cm) bezel, weighing 5.5 oz (156 g) and sealed to IPX7. It is supplied with the low-profile Scout Light Pro mount, MIL-STD-1913 rail and M-LOK cleats, and a Z68 click tailcap.
Sixteen thousand candela from 1500 lumens is a wide, even working beam rather than a tight spotlight, which is the right shape for searching outbuildings, hedgerows and yards where the useful light is the spill around the hotspot. If you need identification at distance instead, a turbo head focuses the same body much further. The tailcap can be swapped for a remote switch if the light sits forward on the handguard.

What the M640DF Tan fits
The supplied mount covers both M-LOK handguards and Picatinny rail sections, so most AR-pattern rifles and straight-pull uppers take it directly.
