The SureFire M640DF Scout Light Pro, part number M640DF-BK-PRO, is a full-size rifle-mounted LED weapon light in black, and DF stands for Dual Fuel.
Choose the battery to suit the job: an SF18650 rechargeable cell for 1500 lumens, or two CR123A lithium primaries when you would rather carry spares than find a charger.
On the SF18650 it produces 1500 lumens and 16,000 candela for approximately 250 metres of beam, running about 1.5 hours; on two CR123A primaries it gives 1200 lumens and 12,800 candela for roughly 220 metres, running about 1.25 hours. The SF18650 cell is included. Switching is by SureFire's Z68 click tailcap. The aerospace aluminium body is O-ring sealed and rated IPX7 for one metre of immersion for thirty minutes, measures 5.56 in (14.1 cm) with a 1.125 in (2.9 cm) bezel and weighs approximately 5.5 oz (156 g). The low-profile Scout Light Pro mount comes with both MIL-STD-1913 and M-LOK cleats.
The beam is deliberately a wide flood with generous spill rather than a tight column, which is what you want searching a shed, a hedgerow or a yard where the thing you are looking for could be anywhere in front of you. If you need to identify something at distance instead, this is the wrong light in the family and the Turbo version is the right one.
