The SureFire M340DFT Mini Scout Light Pro Turbo, part number M340DFT-BK-PRO, is a compact rifle-mounted LED weapon light in black.
DFT stands for Dual Fuel Turbo, and turbo is not marketing: the head concentrates the output into a tight hotspot that carries 616 metres from a body 4.8 in long.
On the SF18350 rechargeable lithium cell it produces 650 lumens and 95,000 candela for 45 minutes; on a single CR123A lithium primary it gives 350 lumens and 55,000 candela for about an hour, reaching 469 metres. The body is aluminium with a Mil-Spec hard anodised finish, rated IPX7, with a 1.258 in (3.2 cm) bezel and a weight of 5.11 oz (144.9 g) with a battery fitted.
Switching is by click tailcap — SureFire's ZE68 momentary and constant-on pushbutton — and the low-profile mount takes MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny and M-LOK cleats. The trade for that beam is runtime: 45 minutes on the rechargeable cell is short, which is why the CR123A option matters if you are out for an evening rather than a stage.
