The Streamlight TLR-7 HL-X USB, part 69458, is the black version of Streamlight's compact high-candela pistol light, supplied with an SL-B9 USB-C rechargeable pack and both paddle switch heights.
Twenty-three thousand candela out of a light 2.90in long is the point of this model. It is a compact pistol light that identifies at 303 metres rather than one that lights a doorway.
On the SL-B9 pack it runs 1,100 lumens, 23,000 candela and 303 metres for half an hour, or 550 lumens, 11,000 candela and 210 metres for an hour on the programmable low setting. On a CR123A lithium cell it gives the same 550 lumens and 11,000 candela for 210 metres, held for an hour and a half. The body is anodised machined aluminium, 2.90in (7.37 cm) long, weighing 2.88 oz with the SL-B9 pack or 2.80 oz on a CR123A, and rated IPX7.
Two rear paddle switches come in the box, a high one and a low one, so activation height can be matched to the trigger guard and the way your support hand sits rather than accepting whatever was fitted at the factory. Both give ambidextrous operation. The rail clamp system and supplied locating keys cover a wide range of full-size and compact railed handguns, and it suits replicas carrying the same rail pattern equally well.
