The SIG Sauer TANGO-MSR Compact 1-6x24 (SOTMC61000) is a 1-6x low-power variable scope just 8.4 in (212 mm) long, with the illuminated MSR BDC6 reticle in the second focal plane and an ALPHA-MSR compact mount fitted at the factory.
Length is what makes this version worth buying. Two inches of rail saved in front of the ocular is two inches you can spend on a magnifier, a night-vision device or simply a mounting position that fits you.
The tube is 30 mm, the objective 24 mm and the body aluminium in black, weighing 26.5 oz with the mount on. Turrets move 0.5 MOA per click, with 100 MOA of windage, over 80 MOA of elevation and 44 MOA per rotation. Eye relief is 3.7 in, field of view runs 122.1 ft at 1x down to 20.1 ft at 6x measured at 100 yards, and the eyepiece adjusts 2.5 dioptres either way. As a second focal plane scope the BDC6 subtensions are correct at one magnification rather than all of them, which is the usual bargain for a reticle that stays readable at 1x. That makes it a natural fit for service rifle, practical rifle and three-gun, and for short-receiver builds where a full-length LPVO crowds the rail. SIG does not publish a parallax setting for it.
