The SIG Sauer TANGO-MSR 1-6x24 in black, part SOT61000, is a low-power variable optic with the illuminated MSR BDC6 reticle in the second focal plane, a 30 mm tube and the ALPHA-MSR cantilever mount included.
The mount in the box is the argument. It arrives at the right height for an AR-pattern receiver, which removes the rings, the height calculation and the eye-relief guesswork from the job in one go.
Magnification runs 1-6x over a 24 mm objective on a 30 mm tube, with capped MOA turrets and a CR2032 driving the reticle illumination. The whole scope measures 10.5 in (267 mm) and weighs 18.5 oz (525 g) before the mount goes on. The MSR BDC6 sits in the second focal plane, so it holds its apparent size from 1x to 6x and stays a fine reticle at the top end.
At 1x it works as a both-eyes-open sight for close work, and at 6x there is enough magnification to identify and place a shot at the far end of a practical stage. Two things are worth saying plainly. A second focal plane BDC is only calibrated at one magnification, so the holdover marks lie if you use them at 3x. And SIG's own catalogue has since moved this line to the shorter TANGO-MSR Compact models, so this is the full-size original rather than the current shelf item.
