Product Overview

The Reptilia DOT Mount is a one-piece Picatinny optic mount for the Aimpoint Micro, holding the optic at Reptilia's 39mm lower 1/3 height, which the trade lists as 1.54in bore height.

One footprint, one height. This is the lower 1/3 version cut for the Aimpoint Micro, and nothing on it adjusts — which is exactly why it holds a zero.

Machined from billet 7075 aluminium and finished in Type III hardcoat anodising, the DOT Mount clamps to any M1913 Picatinny rail through a spring-loaded nitrided 4140 steel clamp. The clamp and mounting bolt sit flush with the body, so there is no proud hardware to catch on a sling, a bag or a barricade. It weighs 51 g (1.8 oz) and carries NSN 1005-01-674-6542.

At Reptilia's 39mm height — 1.54in bore height in dealer language — standard AR-15 back-up iron sights appear in the lower third of the optic window. That is the traditional co-witness: the dot sits where a Micro has always sat, and the irons are there without crowding the picture. On a UK straight-pull AR-15, worked by hand and shot deliberately, a mount with nothing to loosen is worth more than a mount with features. Made in the USA.

Why shooters choose the Lower 1/3 DOT Mount for Aimpoint Micro

  • One optic footprint — cut for the Aimpoint Micro T-1, T-2, H-1, H-2 and CompM5, so the optic beds flat and the screws land square
  • 39mm / 1.54in bore height — lower 1/3 co-witness with standard AR-15 back-up iron sights
  • Spring-loaded steel clamp — nitrided 4140 steel, sitting flush with the body for an anti-snag profile
  • 51 g (1.8 oz) — billet 7075 aluminium, Type III hardcoat anodised
  • Fitting kit included — mounting screws and a hex L-key come in the box

What the Lower 1/3 DOT Mount for Aimpoint Micro fits

Fits the Aimpoint Micro family — T-1, T-2, H-1, H-2 and CompM5 — and mounts to any M1913 Picatinny rail, including the flat-top upper of a UK straight-pull AR-15. Footprint and height are both fixed on this listing: Aimpoint Micro footprint, Reptilia 39mm (1.54in) lower 1/3 height. Neither is adjustable. If you want the taller sightline for a head-up position, a helmet or night vision, the 1.93in DOT Mount for Aimpoint Micro is the same mount at the greater height. An ACRO, MRO, RMR or 509T will not fit this one — those footprints use different screw positions and a different recoil boss.

Product Questions

What does Reptilia's 39mm height mean in inches?
39mm is Reptilia's own published figure and works out at 1.535in, which UK and US dealers both list as 1.54in bore height. They are the same mount, quoted in two unit systems. It is the lower 1/3 co-witness position, so standard AR-15 back-up iron sights sit in the bottom third of the optic window rather than across the middle of it.
Will it take my red dot?
Only if your optic uses the Aimpoint Micro footprint — T-1, T-2, H-1, H-2 or CompM5. The DOT Mount is machined for one footprint at a time, because the screw spacing and the recoil boss differ between makes. If you run an Aimpoint ACRO, a Trijicon MRO or an RMR, Reptilia make a separate DOT Mount for each of those and this is not it.
Should I take this or the 1.93in version?
Take this one if you shoot with back-up irons and want them in the lower third of the window, or if your head sits naturally low on the stock. Take the 1.93in version if you shoot head-up, wear a helmet, or want clearance to run a magnifier or night vision behind the dot. Same optic, same clamp, same price — only the sightline changes.
Does it come with the screws?
Yes. Mounting screws and a hex L-key are included, so the only thing you need to supply is the optic and a torque driver if you use one. The clamp is spring-loaded, which means it stays open while you position the mount on the rail rather than needing a third hand.
How will it arrive?
Optic mounts are sent from the United Kingdom with free tracked UK delivery in 7–10 days, and you'll get tracking by email when it ships. If a part turns out to be the wrong fit, see our returns policy or contact us and we'll help sort it.
