The Primary Arms SLx 3X MicroPrism is a fixed 3x prism scope with a red-illuminated, glass-etched ACSS Raptor 5.56/.308 Yard reticle, finished in Flat Dark Earth.
The reticle is etched into the glass rather than projected by an LED, which is why so many shooters with astigmatism can use a prism scope cleanly when a red dot looks like a smear.
Primary Arms gives the optic a 23mm objective, 2.70 in of eye relief, a 7.4mm exit pupil and a field of view of 38.00 ft at 100 yards, weighing 7.95 oz. Exposed low-profile turrets adjust in 1/4 MOA clicks with 80 MOA of travel in windage and elevation, illumination is red across 13 brightness settings with three of them night-vision compatible and AutoLive motion sensing, and the power source is a CR2032 coin cell. It carries the Primary Arms MicroPrism mounting pattern, which is also compatible with Trijicon Mini-ACOG mounts.
The ACSS Raptor puts a centre chevron over bullet drop holdovers, ranging stadia and wind holds, laid out in yards for 5.56 and .308. Optically this is the same scope as the black version, so the choice is finish, not performance, and 3x is deliberately fixed: no zoom ring, no first focal plane compromise, no second battery. Because the reticle is etched, it stays usable with the illumination off or a dead cell.
Why shooters choose the SLx 3X MicroPrism
-
Magnification — fixed 3x, with real magnification in a compact prism body
-
Reticle — glass-etched ACSS Raptor 5.56/.308 Yard, with chevron, holdovers, ranging and wind holds
-
Astigmatism — an etched reticle resolves through the scope's own optics rather than as a projected LED
-
Illumination — red, 13 settings with 3 night-vision compatible, with AutoLive motion sensing
-
Turrets — exposed low-profile, 1/4 MOA clicks, 80 MOA of windage and elevation
-
Optics — 23mm objective, 2.70 in eye relief, 38.00 ft field of view at 100 yards
-
Finish — Flat Dark Earth, at 7.95 oz
What the SLx 3X MicroPrism fits
It uses the Primary Arms MicroPrism mounting pattern and is compatible with Trijicon Mini-ACOG mounts, so it goes on any Picatinny-railed rifle through the mount supplied with it. The same optic in black is the SLx 3X with the red ACSS Raptor, and the green illuminated version swaps the emitter colour. For an unmagnified prism on the H1/T1 footprint, look at the SLx 1X MicroPrismT with ACSS Cyclops Gen II.
