Product Overview

The Magpul RSA QD is a quick-detach sling mount that clamps to any MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail section.

A quick-detach sling point for any Picatinny rail — low-profile, over-engineered and ready in minutes.

The Magpul RSA QD (MAG337) bolts to any MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail section and provides a standard QD socket wherever your sling geometry needs it. Machined for a precise rail fit and finished in a hard-wearing black, it sits tight against the rail with minimal overhang — no rattle, no bulk, no snag points.

Sling attachment placement makes or breaks how a rifle carries and mounts. The RSA QD lets you put the front sling point exactly where it balances the rifle for your build and your body, rather than where the factory happened to leave a loop. Paired with any push-button QD swivel it gives positive, silent lock-up that shrugs off hard use.

Why shooters choose the RSA QD

  • Adds a QD socket to any Picatinny rail — place your sling point precisely
  • Low-profile machined body — tight fit, no rattle, no snags
  • Positive QD lock-up — secure under load, silent on the move
  • Fast installation — basic tools, minutes of work

What the RSA QD fits

Clamps to any 1913 Picatinny rail section — handguard rails, receiver rails or rail panels. You need enough clear rail for the clamp body, so plan around your existing lights, grips and rail covers; an M-LOK-only handguard would need a rail section adding first. Seat it against a rail slot so recoil cannot walk it forward, then click in any standard push-button QD swivel such as the Magpul QDM (MAG543).

Product Questions

Where on the rifle can I mount the RSA QD?
It clamps to any 1913 Picatinny rail section, so it can sit on a handguard rail, a rail panel or any other Picatinny surface you can spare. Once fitted it gives you an industry-standard push-button QD socket at that point. You will need enough clear rail for the clamp body, so plan around your existing lights, grips and rail covers.
What does the RSA QD add over a fixed sling loop?
It converts a length of Picatinny rail into a proper QD socket, which means the sling can be unclipped from the rifle in a second without unthreading anything. The low-profile body keeps it from catching on kit or fouling your support hand. If you would rather have a permanent loop with nothing to press, the fixed-loop RSA is the alternative.
What do I need to fit it, and does it take my swivel?
It is a clamp-on rail mount, so ordinary hand tools are all that is involved; snug it down against the rail slot recoil lug so it cannot creep under recoil. It accepts industry-standard push-button QD swivels, such as the Magpul QDM swivel. The socket is the standard pattern, so most QD sling ends on the market will seat in it.
Which side should I mount it, and what else is needed?
There is a single black finish, so the choice is really about placement: most shooters put it on the support-hand side of the handguard at the point where the sling sits most comfortably. You will also need a QD swivel and a sling to complete the setup, which you can pick from Magpul slings and sling mounts. If you are not sure your rail has room, measure the clear section before ordering.
How is it shipped, and what if it does not fit my rail?
This mount is dispatched from the United Kingdom with £5 tracked UK delivery in 7–10 business days and tracking comes through by email once it ships. If it turns out not to suit your rail, see our returns policy or contact us and we'll help sort it.
