A folding precision chassis that turns a Remington 700 long action into a match-ready rifle — fully adjustable, M-LOK-ready, and built to Magpul's toughness standard.

The Magpul Pro 700L (MAG1002) drops your Remington 700 long-action barrelled action into a rigid aluminium core wrapped in a polymer exterior, giving you a folding, fully adjustable stock system without the weight or price of an all-billet chassis. Length of pull and cheek height adjust tool-lessly, the ARCA/RRS-compatible forend and M-LOK slots take bipods and accessories, and it feeds from AICS-pattern magazines.

The side-folding stock locks solid for shooting and folds for transport, and the whole system is designed around repeatable return-to-zero bedding. It is the precision platform for shooters who want match-rifle ergonomics on a 700 action.

Will my Remington 700 fit this chassis?

The Pro 700L is cut for Remington 700 long-action barrelled actions and pattern-compatible actions, so the first thing to confirm is your action length. A short-action Rem 700 will not fit this one — it needs the Pro 700 short-action version instead. The barrelled action and magazine are not included, and the chassis feeds from AICS-pattern detachable box magazines.

What does a chassis give me over a conventional stock?

The barrelled action beds into a rigid aluminium core rather than sitting in a flexing stock, and the system is designed around repeatable return-to-zero bedding, so the rifle shoots to the same place after it has been apart. Length of pull and cheek height then adjust tool-lessly, which means the rifle fits you rather than the other way round. The stock side-folds and locks solid for shooting, which makes transport and storage far easier.

What can I mount on the forend?

The forend carries M-LOK slots along its length and is ARCA/RRS-compatible, so a bipod, tripod clamp or accessory mounts directly with no adaptor rails to add. That covers most modern precision setups without bolting extra hardware to the rifle, and a night vision device mounts on the Pro NVM rather than on a rail extension. Is fitting it a gunsmith job?

It is more involved than bolting on furniture but it is not a rebuild: the barrelled action is bedded into the chassis following Magpul's instructions, using the supplied action screws and bedding hardware. Torque matters here, so use a torque driver and follow the stated figures rather than guessing. If you are not confident stripping and re-bedding your own rifle, have a gunsmith do the fitting.
