What does the MS3 GEN2 attach to on my rifle?

The MS3 GEN2 uses Magpul Paraclip hooks, so it clips onto sling loops and MS-series sling mounts rather than needing a QD socket. If your rifle is set up with QD sockets, adapters are available to run the Paraclip on that hardware. Check what attachment points your stock and handguard already have, and browse Magpul slings and sling mounts if you need to add one.

What makes this a convertible sling?

It runs as either a one-point or a two-point sling and you swap between the two by unclipping one end, so a single sling covers both roles. Two-point mode is steadier for carrying and shooting from position; one-point lets the rifle hang clear when you need your hands free. It is the same MAG514 sling either way, so nothing extra is needed to change over.

How does the Paraclip hardware differ from a QD sling?

The Paraclip is a spring-loaded hook that grabs a loop or mount, so it works on plain sling loops that a push-button QD swivel cannot use. A QD-socket sling such as one running a Magpul QDM swivel needs a purpose-made socket in the stock or rail. If your rifle mixes both types of attachment point, the Paraclip plus an adapter is the more flexible route.

Which colour should I pick, and do I need anything else?

It is offered in Black, Coyote and Ranger Green, and all three are the same sling with different webbing colour. Beyond the sling itself you only need suitable attachment points at each end; if you are unsure what your rifle takes, contact us with the make and model.
