The Holosun SCS MP2 is an enclosed 1x green dot sight that mounts directly to S&W M&P 2.0 optics-ready slides, powered by an internal rechargeable cell that charges from ambient light.
There is no battery tray on this sight because there is no removable battery. Light keeps it charged, and the only thing you ever do to it is shoot it.
The reticle is Holosun's Multi-Reticle System in green at 540nm — a 2 MOA dot, a 32 MOA circle, or both — behind a 0.77 x 0.58 in window. The 7075-T6 aluminium housing measures 2 x 1.05 x 0.95 in, weighs 1.35 oz, is rated IP67 and carries Shake Awake. Holosun rates the internal cell at 20,000 hours.
Brightness is automatic, with a manual override on setting nine if you want to take control of it. Adjustment is 1 MOA per click with 50 MOA of travel each way. The trade for the clean, plateless fit is that it is cut for one slide pattern only: it is not an RMR- or RMSc-footprint optic and will not adapt to one.
