The Holosun HS515CM is a 1x micro rifle red dot sight with the red Multi-Reticle System — 2 MOA dot, 65 MOA circle, or both — behind a 0.78 in (19.8 mm) window, on a quick-detach Picatinny mount at 1.63 in (41.4 mm) lower 1/3 co-witness.
It arrives finished rather than needing parts added: the lever mount and the protective caps with their anti-reflection screen are in the box, not on a list of accessories.
The housing is 6061 T6 aluminium with a MAO finish, rated IP68 and IPX8, measuring 2.75 x 1.43 x 1.63 in and weighing 9.17 oz. A CR2032 is rated up to 50,000 hours at setting 6, with Solar Failsafe drawing on ambient light and Shake Awake sleeping the reticle when the rifle is put down. Brightness runs to 8 daylight settings and 4 for night vision, and the 650 nm red LED adjusts 0.5 MOA per click with 50 MOA of travel each way.
The rotating caps do two jobs: they keep the glass covered when the rifle is slung, and the kill flash screen stops the objective lens flaring light back at you or outwards. Lower 1/3 height puts the reticle above AR-height irons rather than level with them, which is the height most magnifiers are built around, so a flip-to-side unit lines up behind it. The quick-detach lever means one sight can serve two rifles and return to zero.
